Cody Piland
Mrs. Cody Piland serves as the Assistant Principal at Floral City Elementary School, guiding a diverse community of 380 Pre-K through fifth grade students. Entering her 20th year in education across Pinellas and Citrus counties, her extensive background includes three years as a classroom teacher, eight as a Media Specialist, one as an Instructional Technology Integration Coordinator, and eight as an Assistant Principal.
Having previously served Floral City Elementary as the Media Specialist and spent last year as an Assistant Principal at another district school, Mrs. Piland brings district familiarity and a passion for student success back to campus. She holds an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership, a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education.
Outside of school, Mrs. Piland has been married for 13 years, and her two sons attend Citrus County schools. An avid reader and camper, she loves spending quality time with her family and her many pets, including dogs, fish, snakes, and bearded dragons. Dedicated to academic excellence, she is proud to foster strong family and community partnerships and support young learners.
